Rising to my own personal potential means that I put the plan in action. That I take the necessary steps and follow through. This requires my level of motivation and commitment regarding my desire and intent. By putting forth my best effort - my Heavenly Father will bring about those blessings.
Apologetics is not a system of reason and logic to win intellectual arguments. It is to persuade people to commit themselves over to critical thinking and examination of the value and unique the worldview is. How valuable and beneficial a particular political viewpoint is beneficial.
What appears to be a revolutionary way of embracing the teachings of Christ, living according to those principles and truths, the example of how Christ ministered among his contemporaries of the first century seems to embrace a more social justice worldview and perspective. Yet are people engaged in this revolutionary movement seducing people from the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ? reinterpreting what Christ taught to fit their own perspectives, worldviews, and ideas?
Our priority is not to defend the Church or the Gospel. Our priority is to minister to them. Validate that they are hurt and broken. Understand that they are wounded. This is accomplished when we humble ourselves and meet people where they are at. To actively listen to what they are wanting to share. Give them space to sit with being vulnerable and raw. Because that is what they are seeking - to be heard, validated, and to have some kindness and compassion while they process and work through the things that brought about the crisis of faith, the wounds, and the discouragements.
To become the hero of my own personal story and life - I need to take up my own hero's journey and place my faith in God and trust in His will and divine providence. Through my faith and confidence, labor and toil, fellowshipping with others, being held accountable, seeking after wise counsel, and following the directions - my extraordinary adventure and story may be among many heroic journey's that inspire people.
Radical Honesty is not to be confused with a moral obligation to tell the truth. It is a pragmatic, functional path to reduce human suffering through sharing in depth and detail what you feel, what you think, what you have done, and what you want.
