Stand a Little Taller with Resilient and Bold Faith

We stand a little taller against the growing wave of immorality. We stand a little taller in the spirit of truth and light that is Jesus Christ. We stand with bold and resilient faith and courage to be the light by which those truly seeking refuge and sanctuary are able to come into the fold of God's kingdom. Each one of us, through our faith and commitment to the Gospel Principles established, are able to speak wisdom into those with broken hearts. We are called to serve and minister to those in need. Just as Christ served and ministered to the lowly and broken.

I am no Longer my Own

Isn't this idea easy to forget? I tended to approach life with a certain autonomy. Live as though I am an independent individual with a responsibility to acknowledge God in worship and sacrifice. My Heavenly Father wants a deeper worship in my own personal life. Rather than living independently of Him while giving Him my respect, I honor Him by living dependently on Him with mindful awareness that every action, every thought, every impulse is to fit into His purposes. I must never act - or even breathe - without this awareness. I have been bought at a costly price. I am His.

No Longer Engaged in Worry

I will keep always in mind that today is my sole concern and that I will make it as good a day as I am able to. This one small span of time is mine, and I will use it to do the things that need doing, and have a little time over for enjoyment and reflection.

Fellowship with Grace and Compassion

The only help I am able to give is to offer grace and compassion. Pray for them. Pray for wisdom and guidance in how I may be able to comfort and support them. Listen and empathize with them. Sit with them in silence. We do not ever want to feel trapped.

What you may not know

James Pack maintains his own website and wrote up quite a profound and honest piece. A very honest and straightforward perception on one's experience with feeling abandoned. And, the most gut-wretched profound insight was this: ...where is everyone else? What happened to all the people who said they cared about me? I claim part of … Continue reading What you may not know

Facing the troubles of the old man

We are not exempt from the troubles of the old man. How we may have dealt with adversity and setbacks will hopefully be different. Each season of difficult - there is a choice. A choice between facing those difficult seasons with the confidence and trust in God; or, give into the old man of troubles and sorrow and sink in our frustration, despair, and disappointment.

Courage for our spiritual journey

It is through Christ's infinite and profound atonement that we are able to come to a place where we place our hope and trust in God. This hope and trust provides for us an assurance for whatever challenges may lay ahead in our spiritual journey. We may face desperate circumstances. Personal adversity. And seemingly impossible social upheavals to contend with. Yet, He is faithful toward us because he has called us into a fellowship with his Son - Jesus Christ (See, 1 Corinthians 1:9, paraphrased). And, his promise stands to protect us and strengthen us (See, 2 Thessalonians 3:3).

What is your greatest fear?

We all have certain fears. However, when it comes to living authentically, living mindfully, and living out a genuine spiritual life - there is an inherent fear of stepping out in faith and living completely and totally surrendered to God. In fact, one of my biggest resentments I've held against God is asking Him to draw me … Continue reading What is your greatest fear?
